BEST TIME TO VISIT:
This will all depend on where you want to visit and what type of holiday you are looking for. The Mediterranean gets very hot and busy during the summer months, especially in July and August. May, June and September can be a great time to visit to avoid the crowds and still enjoy the warmer weather. Ski season tends to run from December through to as late as April, and European cities can be great to visit all year-round.
CANARY ISLANDS
With an invitingly warm climate all year round, these islands just off the coast of Africa are perfect for winter sun. They are home to breathtaking scenery, volcanic landscapes and some great beaches. Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura are the popular ones, but there is also a quieter side to the Canaries with the sleepy islands of La Gomera and La Palma.
CROATIA
This country is perfect if you are looking for unspoiled beaches, crystal-clear waters and towns packed with historical treasures. The endless sea vistas and stunning coastal scenery make it the perfect place for island-hopping adventures. Don’t miss Dubrovnik - sitting right on the waterfront with medieval walls, cobbled streets and orange-topped houses.
CYPRUS
An idyllic island famed for its glorious sunshine, arcing golden beaches, rich history and hospitality.
